Pearl 2022

Pearl 2022 follows Mia whose background struggles with the weight of her family. She is the star in mom’s eyes promising a better life. She can see it presented in the film, set in pandemic-stricken 1918 with WWI at its height. Although there are echoes of THE WIZARD OF OZ, PSYCHO, and CARRIE throughout the screenplay written by West and Goth, it turns out that it is grounded in more than just its horror elements.
