Based on Robert Hendy-extraordinary Freegard’s actual story, Rogue Agent is engrossingly strange. It takes an intriguing story and makes it into two hours of tedious boredom. James Norton and Gemma Arterton were both excellent casting choices. Robert Freegard leads a hectic life. When he’s not working the bar at the neighborhood tavern, he recruits college students to serve as amateur informants for the British Secret Services. Of course, he moves quickly to get them into safe houses and assumes a different identity when the IRA threatens their lives as a result of their efforts.
