Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 is the final chapter in the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise before writer/director James Gunn. As the last film in the trilogy, suffice it to say that the film has a lot to fulfill and achieve. The stakes are high and the storyline reflects that. Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 follows the Guardians on their journey to save the galaxy once more. This time, however, a guard’s life was in danger. With one of them in a near-fatal condition, it’s up to Peter Quill/Star-Lord and the gang to rescue one of their own, while taking on a new villain, The High Evolutionary. There were personal implications for the keepers of an ideal society. The film is an emotional journey through space, and when compared to the two previous installments in the franchise, it is the MCU’s darkest entry in recent memory and a welcome departure.
